Once it was determined 'Don't Open Till Christmas" wasn't working, Birkinshaw was brought in to create a new storyline with fresh actors, including Alan Lake, and his sad story of personal loss and suicide is recalled. The interviewee also offers his thoughts on becoming a "fixer" for other movies as well.
