  • Commentary - this archival audio commentary was recorded by director Richard Franklin and screenwriter Everett De Roche. A lot of information about the conception of Patrick -- which apparently is loosely based on a true story that was altered in several ways and then expanded with ideas and more from Psycho -- the original, very long cut of the film and its final version, the use of different music on the Australian and Italian versions of the film, how the film was tweaked to appear more stylish, etc. The commentary was recorded in 2002.
